THE 2009 AGM 12TH MARCH   The 2009 AGM will again be held at The New Cavendish Club; behind Oxford Street, within walking distance of Marble Arch Underground Station. If you would like to attend the 2009 AGM please print off and fill in the booking form below and send if off to HQ.

CORONA WALKING THE WORLD                

ARE YOU STILL HELPING US "WALK THE WORLD?

We are delighted to announce that our first donation is in! and in what style! one of our L.V.P's did her 'ten miles' while 'walking the decks' during her winter cruise. HAVE YOU STARTED YOUR WALK YET?Remember this will not only keep us fit and active but enable us to join together in collectively 'WALKING THE WORLD'  in celebration of Lady Paskin our founders 100th birthday.even if you have mobility problems, everyone will be able to take part. You will be amazed at the distance you complete when moving around your own home every day.
HINTS ON HOW TO JOIN IN AND RAISE MONIES.

• For each mile walked pop a £1 (or equivalent) into a jar :- REMEMBER the exercise undertaken by walking, however far is good for the health and figure, great for the dog! and much appreciated by CORONA
• Group Walk :- Corona Branch, Family or Friends; the more the merrier round them up and keep them active.
• Walk around the garden :- you will be surprised how far you can walk (and how much you can raise)
• Twinned Branches :- Strengthen those links by 'walking together' sharing the challenge!
• On holiday & at home :- around the ship/along the beach/we all love shopping and it all could count!

WE DON'T MIND HOW YOU DO IT JUST PLEASE TRAVEL THAT MILE FOR CORONA AND THERES ANOTHER £1 IN THE JAR

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PAYMENT:-·       

Count up your £1’s at the end of the month and send a cheque made payable to “CORONA WORLDWIDE” telling us its for “Walk the World”·        Your Branch may like to walk together … making a donation every couple of months; you make the choice.·  We are doing this together and we do so need YOUR help to enable us in achieving our challenge
  WALK THE WORLD CHALLENGE.
RENT A LEG! WOULD YOU LIKE A LITTLE HELP?  LET US TAKE THE STRAIN! WE ARE HERE TO WORK TOGETHER.

If you would like to take part in the Corona Walk the World Challenge but feel at this time you are unable to do so, don't worry I have the answer. let us do the walking for you? Just send in your donation of £10 for the ten miles  then from a team of three; will do the walk for you. Just sit back and the leave the rest to us. You will be personally informed of where WE have walked after the event. Between us we could make a difference to someone by adding to an initiative supported by Corona members overseas. We are a Worldwide Society so lets all work together by supporting this challlenge.

LONDON EVENTS.

Tuesday 9th December 2008.  Southwark Cathedral.

the tour of the Cathedral will start at 11-30am and will last for one and a half hours then after lunch there will be a guided walk of bankside at 2pm and this will also last one and a half hours. Southwark Cathedral is part of our national and cultural heritage and is the oldest Gothic Church building in London. It has only been a Cathedral since 1905. On the guided Bankside walk we will see St. Mary Overie Dock; The Golden Hinde; The Bishhops' of Winchester's Palace Ruins, site of the Clink Prison, Globe Theatre, Provost's Lodging House, Tate Gallery and the Millennium Bridge.If you would like to attend this event please contact HQ for forms etc.
